Who said M&S wasn't cool?! Myself and fellow M&S stylist Toni Ross pulled together these outfits showcasing some of the best pieces Marks and Spencer have to offer right now. First of all, the spotted peplum shirt. This top is part of the recent 'As Seen In Vogue' collection which is available online here at marksandspencer.com. Vogue's fashion news editor, Julia Hobbs describes the collection as 'simplicity with a sharp edge'. We paired the boldly printed shirt with black Per Una cullotes and M&S collection boots.
We came across this tailored crackle print jumpsuit and decided to pair it with a plain white tee to give it more of an effortless, simple look. When culottes first made an appearance on the high street, they were an absolutely huge NO from me - but, a few months later I grew to love them and now I cannot get enough!
Finally, we picked out this khaki zip skirtas we both loved the colour and detail of the item. Paired here with a limited edition off the shoulder top, this skirt could be worn dressed up with a tailored shirt or more casually like we have styled it here with a crop top.
Recently we've been showcasing lots of our visual stylist work via instagram at @marksandspencer_aberdeenVM - so if your interested in more M&S styling, please give us a follow!
Note to self : work on some new poses! sorry these images are all a bit samey, the lighting was rubbish and I'm just starting to get my head around my new Olympus Pen camera.
Anyhow.. I am OBSESSED with this shirt. It is literally my favourite purchase in ages (I probably say that all the time..). Zara always produces the gooooods and I get excited about their new season collections every single time. It was only £25,99 aswell, so I really can't complain.
I got these glasses in Australia at a little boutique stall, they're kinda bent and scratched to pieces but I love them all the same. I'm hoping some day I can replace them with some real deal Prada babies.
So, my latest idea is to fill the blog with all sorts of fashiony type content - meaning you can expect a lil' bit more than just outfit posts. I'm starting off with a bit of a wishlist, which knowing me, will result in loads of posts about endless lists of things I think I can't live without.
Something I actually can't get enough of right now is denim. Denim dresses, jeans, jackets, skirts, tops - give me them ALL! If you'd asked fifteen year old me how I felt about denim jeans paired with a denim shirt I'd have laughed in your face and probably referenced some kind of terrible outfit my mum dressed in back in her day. Now however, I'm rather keen on a double denim get-up. Here are a few of my current favourites...
So, apparently plain old denim jeans don't cut it for me. I am obsessed with the black topshop studded pair, so I'm sure they'll be featured sooner rather than later! I love the denim dresses, I'd wear these with a plain tee underneath and some ankle boots. Embroidered and embellished denim seems to be everywhere just now, the topshop floral jeans are high on my wish list. The River Island coordinated jacket and skirt would be perfect for a festival - but unfortunately I won't be festivalling it up anytime soon.
